Wild coast at the foot of Yorke
Innes National Park
A rugged coastal park of cliffs, surf beaches and the historic Inneston township.
Innes National Park occupies the south-western foot of Yorke Peninsula, where Gulf St Vincent meets the Southern Ocean. The park protects dramatic limestone cliffs, sheltered coves and renowned surf breaks such as Pondalowie Bay, alongside the ruins of the gypsum-mining township of Inneston. It is a stronghold for the endangered western whipbird and an array of coastal wildlife, with walking trails, camping and lookouts including the wreck of the Ethel.
