A secluded sandy beach inside Innes National Park, named for the dolphins often seen offshore.
Dolphin Bay lives up to its name, with pods of bottlenose dolphins regularly cruising the clear water just beyond the shorebreak. The beach is a curve of clean sand backed by low dunes, tucked into the southern coast of Innes National Park.
It is one of the quieter beaches in the park, often empty even in the warmer months. On a calm day the swimming is excellent and the water clarity makes for good snorkelling around the rocky margins.
There are no facilities, so come prepared. The bay is exposed to southerly weather, so check conditions before you commit to a swim.
