Dolphin Beach

A picturesque white-sand beach in Innes National Park with clear turquoise water and frequent dolphin sightings.

Dolphin Beach is one of the most photogenic and family-friendly beaches in Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, a curving stretch of soft white sand backed by low dunes near Pondalowie Bay. The water is clear and turquoise, and on a calm day it is one of the safest places in the park for a swim or a snorkel over the seagrass and reef. As the name suggests, bottlenose dolphins are regularly seen cruising just offshore, sometimes among the surfers at nearby breaks. The beach is also the starting point for the Royston Head hike, which climbs to dramatic clifftops at the southern tip of the park. Bring everything you need, as there are no shops inside Innes, and remember that a park entry pass is required.
