Shell Beach

A sheltered, shallow cove near Pondalowie famed for clear water and a beach made of tiny shells.

Tucked along the coast near Pondalowie Bay, Shell Beach is a small, sheltered cove where calm, clear water laps a shoreline made up of countless tiny shells. After the wind and surf of the park's western beaches, its stillness comes as a surprise — this is one of the few spots in Innes safe and gentle enough for an easy swim or snorkel.

The shallows are perfect for children and the protected aspect means the water often stays glassy when the rest of the coast is being hammered by swell. Snorkellers find seagrass meadows and small reef fish just off the sand.

It is a quiet reward tucked into a fierce coastline — a reminder that Innes hides soft corners among its cliffs and surf breaks.
