A small, quiet bay near Marion Bay favoured by local surfers and beach fishers.
A short run from the township of Marion Bay, Little Emu Bay is one of the lesser-known stretches of coast at the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula. It draws a steady trickle of local surfers chasing the swell that wraps in along this shore, as well as anglers casting for salmon and mullet off the beach.
The bay sits outside the boundary of Innes National Park, so it lacks the crowds that gather at the park's marquee breaks. That quiet is part of the appeal, with long views down an empty coast and the chance to fish or surf without company.
Access is via unsealed road and conditions are exposed, so it suits self-sufficient travellers happy to read the weather.
