Daly Head is one of the most respected surf spots on the bottom of Yorke, a rocky headland where Southern Ocean swells wrap onto a shallow reef to produce fast, powerful waves. It is a destination for experienced surfers chasing uncrowded sets, with rough four-wheel-drive access and no facilities. Even non-surfers come for the wild coastal scenery, fishing off the rocks and big sunsets over the gulf.
