Stansbury

Oyster town with sheltered bays and a long jetty.

A relaxed oyster-growing town on Gulf St Vincent with two sheltered bays, a jetty and a tidal swimming area.

Stansbury is a quiet east-coast town long associated with oyster farming, its sheltered bays once known as Oyster Bay. Two protected beaches, a tidal swimming enclosure and a long jetty popular with anglers make it a gentle family destination. Each Easter the town celebrates its shellfish heritage at the Oyster Festival, and a foreshore caravan park, pub and bakery keep visitors well looked after.
