Innes National Park Visitor Centre
The Stenhouse Bay hub for park passes, maps, surf and fishing intel and Innes history.
The Innes National Park Visitor Centre at Stenhouse Bay is the practical starting point for any visit to the park. Here you can buy your park pass, pick up maps and walking-trail notes, check surf and fishing conditions, and book the camp and cottage sites scattered through the reserve.
Displays cover the park's natural and human history — the gypsum-mining era at Inneston, the dramatic shipwrecks off the coast, and the wildlife you might spot, from emus and kangaroos to ospreys and the elusive western whipbird. Staff and volunteers know the conditions and can steer you to the right beach for the day's swell.
Start here, get oriented, and the rest of Innes opens up — the surf breaks, clifftop walks, fishing beaches and ghost-town ruins all within easy reach.
