Burners Beach
A secluded sandy beach near Port Victoria, a peaceful spot for swimming, walking and shore fishing.
Burners Beach is a quiet, secluded stretch of sand on the western coast of Yorke Peninsula near Port Victoria, the kind of low-key spot that locals treasure and visitors stumble upon. Backed by dunes and scrub, it offers calm, clear water for swimming and wading on settled days, along with good shore fishing for whiting and other gulf species. Its relative isolation means you can often have a long stretch of beach almost to yourself, perfect for a peaceful walk, a picnic or a spot of beachcombing. Views extend across the gulf toward Wardang Island, and sunsets here are memorable. There are no facilities, so bring water, sun protection and everything you need, and take all your rubbish home to keep this hidden gem pristine.
