A long, calm swimming beach on the northern side of Wallaroo, with safe water and an easy foreshore.
North Beach is Wallaroo's main swimming beach, a long sweep of clean sand on the calm waters of Spencer Gulf. The water shelves gently and stays shallow a long way out, which makes it one of the safest and most popular family beaches on the Copper Coast.
The foreshore behind the beach is well set up for a day out, within easy reach of the town's cafes, pubs and the ferry terminal. In summer the beach fills with holidaymakers, but its length means there is always room to spread out.
It is a fine spot for an easy swim, a paddle or a walk, and the sunsets over the gulf are a Copper Coast highlight.
