Port Hughes Jetty

Port Hughes Jetty

Top jetty for whiting, squid and crabs.

A favourite Copper Coast fishing jetty near Moonta Bay, reaching into clear water over seagrass and sand.

The Port Hughes jetty is one of the most productive fishing jetties on the Copper Coast, stretching out over clear water and seagrass beds that hold King George whiting, squid, garfish and blue swimmer crabs. Just south of Moonta Bay, it sits beside a boat ramp, beach and the Dunes golf links. Sunset over Spencer Gulf from the jetty's end is a local ritual, and the swimming is calm and family-friendly.
