Moonta Bay

Moonta Bay

Sandy seaside fringe of the copper town with a long jetty.

The relaxed beach suburb of Moonta, with a sweeping sandy bay, a long jetty and calm, family-friendly swimming.

Moonta Bay is the seaside face of the old copper town, just a few kilometres from the Moonta Mines. A wide, gently shelving beach makes for safe family swimming, and the long jetty is a favourite for whiting, squid and crabbing. With a foreshore reserve, caravan parks, cafes and the Walk the Yorke trail passing through, it is a comfortable and scenic base on the Copper Coast.
