Wallaroo Heritage & Nautical Museum
Maritime and copper history in the old post office.
A two-storey museum in Wallaroo's historic post office, covering the port's copper-smelting and seafaring past.
Set in Wallaroo's handsome 1865 former post office and telegraph station, this museum tells the story of a town built on copper smelting and shipping. Displays span the great smelting works, sailing ships and shipwrecks of Spencer Gulf, local industry and everyday life, alongside a notable shell collection. Climb to the upper floor for harbour views and a real sense of the port in its boom years.
