A coastal point near Stansbury where a working limestone quarry meets the cliffs and gulf views.
North of Stansbury, Klein Point marks a stretch of coast where industry and scenery sit side by side. The point is home to a long-running limestone operation, its loading facility reaching out into Gulf St Vincent where bulk carriers call to take on stone.
The surrounding cliffs and coastline offer broad views back across the gulf toward the Adelaide hills on a clear day. It is a reminder that the Yorke Peninsula has always been a working landscape, its coast shaped by salt, gypsum, copper and limestone as much as by tourism.
The industrial site itself is not open to the public, but the drive out along the coast rewards travellers curious about the peninsula's quarrying heritage.
