Port Vincent Jetty
A friendly east-coast jetty in a sheltered holiday town, ideal for squid, garfish and a lazy summer fish.
Port Vincent's jetty reaches out into a calm, protected bay on the gulf side of the peninsula, fronting one of the Yorke's most popular family holiday towns. The water here is gentle and clear, making it a favourite for relaxed jetty fishing — squid under lights, garfish, tommy ruff and the occasional whiting all come over the rails.
The foreshore behind the jetty is made for summer: a swimming beach, grassy reserve, marina and a strip of cafes and the pub all within easy reach. Families set up for the day while kids leap from the jetty into the deep clear water.
It captures the easy rhythm of an east-coast Yorke summer — fish in the morning, swim through the heat of the day, and watch the boats come and go from the marina.
