Coobowie

Shallow, sheltered bay made for families.

A quiet seaside hamlet on a broad shallow bay, perfect for safe swimming, wading and small-boat launching.

Coobowie sits on a wide, shallow bay just north of Edithburgh, where the water warms over the sand flats and barely a wave disturbs the surface. It is one of the safest swimming and wading spots for young children on the peninsula, with a boat ramp, foreshore reserve and good fishing for whiting and crabs at high tide. A handful of shacks and a relaxed pace make it a peaceful family base.
