A central wheat-country town that proudly displays aviator Harry Butler's restored "Red Devil" Bristol monoplane.
Minlaton sits at the heart of the peninsula's grain country and is best known as the home town of pioneering aviator Captain Harry Butler. His restored 1916 Bristol monoplane, the "Red Devil," is displayed in a memorial in the centre of town, one of the oldest surviving single-seat monoplanes in the world. A friendly main street with bakeries, the National Trust museum and country pubs makes Minlaton a pleasant midway stop.
